Management's decision (merging the 2009 autonomous vendor agreement and the 2018 home-office agreement) distorted the negotiation, due to the very specific constraints borne by the vendors.

Active participation by the CFTC to get the progress called for by employees
Negotiators went into meetings with a positive mindset to seek real progress.
The CFTC teams were guided in these negotiations by the requests you passed to us in July, to obtain gains in terms of flexibility, the number of days, a more comprehensive teleworking pack, eligibility of GSC employees, of work-study employees, etc...
Improvements have been achieved for office-based personnel ... but at the expense of independent vendors!
Field representatives under the current “Independent vendor agreement” are the losers in this new system.
Those who were fortunate enough to sign it will keep their allowance but those who have been eligible for 3 years and have had their applications refused will have to content themselves with €30/month (instead of €223/month).
This allowance does not come anywhere close to covering the costs incurred in running an office in the home providing the right working conditions.
A negotiation guided, once again, by a purely accounting logic
The financial compensation offered in the agreement is very much below expectations. Every negotiation becomes a numbers game with the minimum being offered:
- At less than €2 per day (€168/year), the proposed allowance is ridiculous given that civil servants receive €2.5 per day. As URSAFF (French Social Security Collection Agency) exempts businesses for amounts up to €2,5/days, it is a shame that Schneider does not take advantage of this opportunity.
- By not applying the autonomous sales agreement, Schneider saves €2.5M per year. The cost of this new agreement will be at most €1.6M per year. It’s easy to understand the choice of the management!
If management has made concessions on flexibility, it is because they know that the productivity of teleworkers is high.
